The 2008 BG Triathlon World Cup series resumes this Saturday with round 11 in Lorient, France. This marks the first time Lorient will host a world cup and the first time in France since 2003 in Nice. In all, 35 Olympians from the Beiijng Games return to the world cup circuit. With just two world cups to go, the race for the $250,000 USD bonus pool is heating up.

The 2009 2XU Australian Junior Triathlon Series is for “endorsed” ITU Junior (16-19) athletes only and consists of the following four races;

South Australian triathlete Chris Rawling is in a serious but stable condition in Townsville Hospital following a bizarre bicycle accident during yesterday’s Airlie Beach Triathlon. Rawling suffered multiple facial fractures and spinal damage, although it is hoped further tests will clear the athlete of any permanent damage to his vertebrae.
